The Potential of Food

We are nearing the end of March, which, for those who don’t know, is National Nutrition Month. Food plays a large role in our everyday lives- a quick breakfast to get you through the morning, grabbing a coffee and snack with a coworker, celebrating your friend’s birthday with drinks and appetizers or spending time with family over a holiday dinner. It is beneficial for us to recognize the importance of food in our society.

Food has the potential to 𝑓𝑒𝑒𝑙 us by providing us with energy and nutrients to keep our bodies running and performing.

Food has the potential to help us π‘‘π‘–π‘ π‘π‘œπ‘£π‘’π‘Ÿ new recipes, flavours, textures, cultures, and more.

Food has the potential to π‘π‘Ÿπ‘’π‘£π‘’π‘›π‘‘ chronic diseases such as Type 2 diabetes and heart disease.

Food has the potential to β„Žπ‘’π‘Žπ‘™ current diseases or illnesses.

And finally, food has the potential to π‘π‘Ÿπ‘–π‘›π‘” 𝑒𝑠 π‘‘π‘œπ‘”π‘’π‘‘β„Žπ‘’π‘Ÿ through connection and time spent with our loved ones.
